Northern Lights

Creating this piece was a whirlwind!  I had so much fun selecting the colors and cutting the shapes for this 12 inch disk.  It stands on a 3 foot floor stand so it can be displayed in your home.  The light plays beautifully through this purple, green, orange, blue, pink and red glass.  Sometimes I think  an art piece creates itself.   It cries out for beauty, color and shape.  It knows someone inn the universe needs JOY in their life.  It allows the artist to express their innermost thoughts in a chosen media. All of those take shape into something very special.   After several weeks of being distracted and not being in the studio; that certainly was the case with this one.  One evening I cleared my mind, drank a little wine and the process began.  To top it off, this piece sold as I was delivering it to  The Garden Gallery for an upcoming show.  A lady followed me in, fell in love with it and bought it on sight.
