“Inspired heart”

This heart wall art is my effort to imitate the design aspects and fusing processes by one of my favorite glass artists. — Ann Nye of Omaha. If you have not seen her work check out her website. She is truly incredible. I had the pleasure of meeting her at the Blue Pomegranate Studio last week and she is phenomenal person too!

Waves

Waves in the glass accentuates the wavy edges of this new bowl. This piece of fused glass is three layers thick. The base layer is clear while the middle layer is black stringer and frit. The top layer of color is cut in waves to add depth. (primary color: pink)

A new dish taking shape.

Check out the new shape of things. This new deep blue colored dish with a white stripe has whimsical multicolored “squiggles” running through the middle. This is a fun piece of art that doubles as a functional little serving piece. (size: approx 6″ x 9″)

Heart, Hearts and more Hearts

ImageWear your heart on your sleeve?  How about letting the sun shine through it?

These heart sun-catchers are approximately 2″ by 3″ long made with large red transparent frit pieces.  Some Dichroic pieces are added for fun.  Each heart is embellished with a copper wire string that is curled into the glass.

Perfect for Valentine’s day.

Hello World!

"Autumn"

Welcome to my site containing kiln-formed glass (aka Fused Glass) by Hal Timm.

“Autumn” is my first piece to appear at a gallery opening – appearing at Hot Shops Gallery on 13th and Nicholas in Omaha, NE during January 2012. Thanks to my glass mentor Gerry Klein – Glass Artist, my work has left the shadow of my basement studio for the spotlight of a gallery.

Thank you, Gerry for introducing me to the fabulous artistic outlet.

I hope everyone enjoys looking at my art pieces as much as I enjoy creating them.

SnowyCreek Glass Studio is officially “OPEN!”

Enjoy!!
