Crazy Glass (Before)

My friend and mentor, Gerry Klein recently moved to Colorado Springs, CO. On her departure she gave me a box of glass made locally in Omaha. When I fire this stuff it comes out completely different than planned. This is a hoot!!

Here is the before shot

The Garden Gallery Artist Co-op

Exciting News! I just joined The Garden Gallery Artists Co-op in Elkhorn, NE. Many of the pieces you see on my web-site are now available at The Garden Gallery.

I enjoyed a successful showing during my first art fair (at The Garden Gallery); so it is time time make the leap and have art pieces shown daily in the gallery. If you have never been there: stop by. Michele has set up a great shop with a welcoming atmosphere and literally a HOUSE FULL OF ART! The address is 2721 North 206th Street Elkhorn, NE.

The dish shown is a new design for Christmas. The festive red and green stripes are highlighted by white stringer spacers and is slumped into a 5″ X 10″ rectangular shape.

Waves in the glass accentuates the wavy edges of this new bowl. This piece of fused glass is three layers thick. The base layer is clear while the middle layer is black stringer and frit. The top layer of color is cut in waves to add depth. (primary color: pink)
